Yuga Labs wants to put an end to Apecoin Dao: “Inefficient, political, and joke”

Yuga Labs, the creative team behind Bored Ape Yacht Club, suggested a radical change by stating that Apecoin Dao no longer contributes to the ecosystem: the fully lifting of DAO and the establishment of APECO, a more configured and target -oriented structure.

Greg Solano, CEO of Yuga Labs, gave the following statements in the suggestion he published in the forum:

“Apecoin Dao was a brave experiment, but now it belongs to an old period. At the point we have come, this structure has become a slow, noisy and often transformed theater.”

According to Solano’s proposal, Apeco will take over the function of providing funding to Ecosystem developers, DAO’s only useful aspect.

Otherside Metaverse project will focus on three main structures.

The basis of the new model will be the milestone -based grant systems, accountability mechanisms and quick decision -making processes.

There will be nothing left from DAO

If the proposal is accepted;

All Apecoin Improvement Proposal (AIP) will be canceled,

Delegation systems, working groups, forums and elections will end,

Token owners’ governance rights will disappear.

This means that one of the most known DAO structures based on Ethereum is completely dispersed.

Community reaction is mixed but hopeful

Yuga’s proposal received positive comments in Apecoin forums. However, the vote at this stage is only held to see the community trend; It’s not yet an official governance vote.
