Solayer Community Sale Postponed to December 16
Solayer has postponed the community sale subscription for the LAYER token until December 16, 2025 at 10:00 UTC.
The community sale of Solayer, a restaking network built on Solana, has been postponed. Buidlpad, the launchpad platform that manages the sale, stated in a post on January 13 that they received 15 times more registrations than expected and explained that this was the reason for the delay.
In the announcement made on January 10, it was stated that the Solayer community sale would be launched and retail investors would have the opportunity to purchase LAYER tokens.
Focusing on Layer 2 scalability and performance, Solayer announced that it has reached 100 Gbps bandwidth and 1 million TPS capacity in its 2025 roadmap using technologies such as hardware-accelerated clusters, SDN and RDMA.
These features make the platform competent for high-performance decentralized applications. The community sale offers early stage retail investors the opportunity to contribute directly to this vision.
LAYER token allows investors to contribute to the growth of the platform as a governance and utility asset and to actively participate in decision-making processes. Additionally, Solayer announced that Emerald Card holders will receive their first LAYER tokens at a significant discount and completely unlocked.
To participate, individuals must meet certain conditions. These conditions include registering on the platform, having a verified account on X (formerly Twitter), following Buidlpad on X, and holding designated tokens. Allocations will be determined according to sales rules.
The minimum subscription amount for the Solayer community sale is set at 100 USDC or equivalent, while the maximum amount is limited to 2,000 USDC. For whitelisted and registered key opinion leaders, this cap is increased up to 5,000 USDC.
The guidelines also state that if the community sale is oversubscribed, final allocations will be determined proportionally, taking into account the total amount of tokens offered for sale and the total subscription amount.
Payments resulting from oversubscription will be automatically refunded to participants’ wallets as payment tokens before 10:00 UTC on January 15, 2025.
With the community sale being postponed, Buidlpad has yet to make a statement on next steps. The platform also emphasized that the use of bots and farming activities aimed at unfairly accumulating a disproportionate amount of tokens are strictly prohibited.
