Ronin Blockchain Sets a New Record in the Number of Daily Active Users
Ronin blockchain achieved great success in the number of daily active users (DAU) on July 29, surpassing all other blockchains and reaching two million DAU. This significant development marks major milestones and user growth in the Ronin network's gaming-focused ecosystem.
The Ronin network has become the leader in the number of daily active users by 2024. According to data provided by Token Terminal, the Ronin network reached two million DAUs on July 29, surpassing other active blockchains.
Especially Tron and Solana overshadowed this success, with Tron having 1.8 million daily active users and Solana having 1.2 million daily active users. According to Token Terminal, the daily active users chart represents the number of different addresses interacting with business-related contracts. This data covers transactions and user interactions within the network.
The Ronin team detailed the reasons for this huge user increase in the interim report published on July 23. According to the report, Ronin’s growth in the first half is largely driven by two main factors: volume growth on NFT marketplace Mavis Market and the listing of the Ronin (RON) token on Binance. The Ronin team states that these two developments serve as a “portal” for users and enable the Ronin ecosystem to be considered a “country of gamers”. This supported the growth of Ronin’s ecosystem and expansion of its user base.
In addition to the 12 million RON token holders in Ronin’s ecosystem, the fact that Ronin Wallet has been downloaded more than three million times is considered a remarkable success. Additionally, the Ronin network currently hosts 15 playable games, highlighting that new games continue to be developed.
Pixels, one of the Web3 games that has achieved great success in terms of the number of users, switched to the Ronin network in February 2024. Ronin reported that the Pixels game reached 1.7 million monthly active users in June, and in the last 12 months players spent 15 million PIXEL tokens for VIP vouchers.
In addition to these successes in the gaming industry, the Ronin network is taking important steps to improve its technological infrastructure. On June 18, it was announced that the zero-knowledge (ZK) Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) layer-2 chain, known as Ronin zkEVM, will be introduced.
This new technology aims to further decentralize Ronin using a modified version with the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK). Sky Mavis, the team behind Ronin, believes this innovation will make the network ready for billions of transactions in the future.
With the implementation of Ronin zkEVM, the Ronin network aims to deliver a more secure and scalable blockchain experience using ZK-proof layer-2 rollups. These technological advances will allow Ronin to achieve its long-term goals and appeal to a wider user base.
These achievements of Ronin reveal the important steps in the evolution of blockchain technology and the effects of this technology in various sectors.
