The project will be carried out in three stages, starting with planning and feasibility studies. This first phase will include stakeholder engagement, needs assessment, and technical and financial feasibility studies, ensuring the project is sustainable and aligned with community needs.

In the second phase, the pilot implementation of street lights powered by renewable energy equipped with vertical axis wind turbines, solar panels and hybrid inverters will be carried out. These streetlights will be interconnected via the Lunaº Mesh network, which offers robust IoT connectivity via microwave radio bridges, WiFi access points, and LPWAN gateways. The blockchain integration will use ARAX’s Blockchain-as-a-Platform (BaaP) solution for secure and decentralized transactions. This will include collaborative mining, decentralized storage platforms, and CorePass digital identity for secure data storage and scalability.

Lunaº Mesh, one of the core components of the project, operates as a decentralized network where each node is connected to multiple nodes, enabling encrypted blockchain-based communication. This network topology increases the reliability and security of the communication network by ensuring that there is no central connection point. Lunaº Mesh Smart Asset Monitoring System (SAMS) facilitates multi-directional communication between various assets such as vehicles and fixed nodes, increasing application intelligence and enabling real-time data streaming and monitoring.

The third phase of the project focuses on expansion and integration. It aims to scale the smart streetlights network across Tuzla and include additional smart city solutions such as smart parking, waste management and public Wi-Fi. Collaborating with local authorities to integrate these technologies into public service management is critical to improving overall urban efficiency and responsiveness.

The success of this DePIN project depends on establishing strong public-private partnerships. In Tuzla, this collaboration will bring ARAX, the municipality and the community together to share resources, knowledge and responsibilities. This shared economy model encourages residents and businesses to contribute to the city’s digital infrastructure, increasing community engagement and ensuring equitable distribution of economic benefits.

Core Blockchain’s decentralized technology is an integral part of the DePIN project. It enables safe, stable token/coin issuance and liquidity and adds governance to projects such as closed-loop, balance-funded enterprise solutions and secure blockchain-based TradeFi systems.

This DePIN project in Tuzla represents a transformative approach to urban management and infrastructure development. The pilot project aims to set a benchmark for smart cities by emphasizing sustainability, efficiency and community engagement.
