PancakeSwap will airdrop a total of 2,452,128 ZK tokens to the DEX platform’s community to appreciate the platform’s continued support. The beneficiaries of this airdrop will be both “long-time contributors” who support PancakeSwap’s growth and new users who actively engage with the DEX platform. The airdrop launched at 10:30 UTC on Friday, July 5, 2024 and will continue until August 5, 2024.

PancakeSwap will reallocate unclaimed tokens to the ecosystem after the specified period, and these will be used to fund future development and community initiatives. In terms of distribution, PancakeSwap divided eligible users into three groups: veCAKE holders, past contributors, and future contributors.

veCAKE holders will receive 26.5% of the airdrop, past ecosystem contributors will receive 27%, and future contributors will receive 46.5% of the 2.4 million ZK tokens. For veCAKE holders and past contributors, the snapshot covers the period July 26, 2023 to June 26, 2024, excluding Traverse campaign participants. The snapshot period for Traverse campaign participants is between July 27, 2023 and September 27, 2023.

PancakeSwap was integrated into ZKsync in July 2023 and has seen significant growth over the past year. Key achievements include seamless Swap implementation, introduction of yield farming and launch of Prediction Markets. The DEX platform also launched fiat deposits, Position Manager and Syrup Pools.

A significant increase was achieved, with transaction volume exceeding $3.6 billion and total value locked (TVL) exceeding $5.8 billion. PancakeSwap’s total processor count also increased sharply last year, exceeding 1.9 million.
