Founded in 2023, OpenRouter offers a routing infrastructure for large language models (LLM). Users; OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta can use hundreds of different models from providers with a single API. In this respect, it aims to combine the fragmented artificial intelligence infrastructure.

CEO Alex Atallah said, “Companies are now shelving their solutions and prefer the OpenRouter. Because we make them focus on their jobs, not integration,” he stressed the scalability of the platform.
OpenTouter’s rapid growth is remarkable: the annual interrogation expenditure, which was $ 10 million at the end of 2024, reached $ 100 million in 2025. The API of the platform has used more than one million developers so far.

Atallah, who left OpenSEA in 2022, focused on OpenRouter with the motivation of “building something from scratch” after the saturation in the NFT sector. With the new investment, the company is expected to develop infrastructure development, privacy guarantees and corporate customer service further.
