Galxe Offers a Powerful and Scalable Web3 Infrastructure with Its Own Blockchain Gravity
Galxe, its Web3 infrastructure and digital identity network, has taken an important step towards shaping the future of dApps and Web3 applications. The company announced that it has developed its own layer-1 smart contract platform, Gravity, by overcoming the limitations of the existing infrastructure. This revolutionary development is considered exciting news for both Galxe users and the Web3 ecosystem.
Galxe has experienced tremendous growth over the last three years. The platform currently hosts 20 million users and 100 million monthly transactions. This growth has driven the need to enable seamless cross-chain interactions between the 34 different blockchains Galxe supports. The inability of existing solutions to meet this complexity and scalability led Galxe to develop its own blockchain.
Gravity will offer a secure and energy-efficient network using the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. Additionally, it will support restaking feature via EigenLayer and Babylon protocols. In this way, it will be possible to benefit from both high transaction speed and the security of the Ethereum network.
Gravity’s technical infrastructure is also remarkable. The network will use Reth as the execution layer and Jolteon (AptosBFT) as the consensus algorithm. This combination offers advantages such as almost instant transaction settlement and high transaction volume. Additionally, thanks to its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), it offers a platform that developers can easily integrate with.
Galxe’s existing products will also be migrated to the new blockchain. Galxe Passport, the loyalty program with approximately 1 million users, will be moved from BNB Chain (BNB) to Gravity, while the reputation scoring system Galxe Score will be transferred from Polygon (MATIC) to the new chain. This move aims to provide a more efficient and secure user experience by combining all components of the Galxe ecosystem under one roof.
The first version of Gravity will be built on Arbitrum Nitro technology in June 2024 and will be available for testing cross-chain transfers in a transparent environment. The full-fledged Gravity Main Network, which includes staking and restaking features, is planned to be put into service in the second quarter of 2025.
Galxe’s development of its own blockchain is considered an important milestone in the Web3 field. This move offers an innovative solution to the scalability and security problems of decentralized applications. Gravity also has the potential to support the future growth of the platform by strengthening Galxe’s user base. While users will benefit from faster and more reliable transactions, developers will also gain an integrable and scalable infrastructure. In short, Gravity is seen as an important step that will shape the future of the Web3 ecosystem.
Gravity, Galxe’s own blockchain, is considered an important innovation for the Web3 ecosystem. This innovation aims to provide a more efficient and reliable Web3 experience for users and developers by addressing critical points such as scalability, security, speed and compatibility. With the release of Gravity, it seems certain that the future of Web3 will become even more exciting.
